why is it so important to you
what he does
why can't you discover the soul behind hippie lou
and rest
you're too much man
you're more about negating one man's positivity
than discovering your own positivity
lol
i remember once there was this kid who was a nuisance gangstery guy
i didn't even know him, he was the younger brother of someone
i was sitting on the bus, and he hit the glass and laughed with his friend, his way of boasting or something
and i jsut remember not hating, not feeling anything and just wanting to give love to him too
it was beautiful
that's what it's all about
not about who puts their name on what
forget all that
pray for a deeper connection with Godhead
do something but don't let your energy get attached to anyone or anything else
the deeper you go within the more love you will feel for everyone
and hate will vanish

P.S. This is the best photo I have seen of you yet.
thank you very much...really appreciate the feedback. i'm curious, what do you think sets it apart?
Its great. I don't know. I liked that other one that I mentioned too, but I like this one a notch better maybe. It is rather pastoral, which is unlike you. I will let you know if anything comes to mind.

Free Magic Monday - meeting at indoor atrium at one Bryant park 42nd and 43rd street 4pm -6pm
Magic Monday has been a magical experience for a long time now - people have shown up at the right time and the right place to share stories of not only how they are doing but what they want to manifest in their lives.
It was requested that we find a place where no one has to spend any money - this atrium I believe is in the Bank of America Tower (one Bryant park). 6th Ave between 42nd and 43rd. 4-6 pm. Call or text Myself or Hippie (the vibe master) if you can't find us. Keep the Faith;)
Hippie - I BCC'd this to the list
Magic is not a belief it is an experience
4PM - 6PM (often 630PM)

The Bumble Bee is the ancient symbol of good fortune, joy and harmony.
Bumble Bee is the Symbol of Community, Sun, Personal Power. The Bumble Bee is the ancient symbol of good fortune, joy and harmony. In the dream world, bee comes as a gift from Spirit. He buzzes about in order to awaken us into the moment. Alert and aware, we see that life is sweet and filled with brightness, color and light. Bee also teaches us to engage fully in our creative endeavors. The key is to focus with intention and to be single-minded in purpose. Finally, bee shows us that all life is interdependent. The Bee as Power Animal
Power animals are an integral part of many shamanic traditions. Although an insect, the bee is still represented among the great power animals. The bee is symbolic of fertility, community, prosperity, diligence and work ethic. Some cultures view bees as messengers of the Gods. Their honey has also been compared to ambrosia or nectar of the Gods, thus elevating bees to the status of royalty. The ancient Egyptians often depicted bees in hieroglyphics when referring to royalty or people high standing. Many ancient and elite families even included bees as part of their family crests.
Also consider a bee colony or hive. There are many workers that coexist in harmony and live as a unit. This illustrates the power of community and teamwork. Each one of these industrious insects has a job to do that serves the greater good. The bee’s power reminds us of the importance of the collective where each individual contributes to the survival and success of the group. With such hard work and diligence from each, all are able to prosper. This is a powerful image.
Spiritual Messages from the Bee
Has the bee power animal come to call on you? Whether in a dream or in everyday life, if you notice a bee—take heed. It could be a significant spiritual message.
Examine what’s been going on in your life that would prompt a message from the powerful yet humble bee. Have you been a busy bee lately? Perhaps you are devoting too much time to work and not enough time to play. It’s important to remember the sweetness in life. Even all the hard work of the bee results in the satisfaction of rich honey.
The bee’s message could also be one of teamwork and community. Are you being called to add your talents to humanity? Have you held back any personal contributions that could make the world better? In these spiritually evolving times, many of us are being called to add our voices to the collective consciousness in order to raise the vibration of the planet. The bee is inviting you.
Finally, the bee’s message could be calling your attention to miracles. Remember the impracticality of the bee’s aerodynamics? Regardless, it is still able to fly. Let this be a metaphor for anything you may be attempting. Miracles are possible!
With all its wonderful gifts and symbolism, the spiritual power of the bee is truly amazing. Let the humble bee serve as a guide!

Hi Hippie Lou,
I hope that you are doing well and everything is going your way.
I am interested in starting a business regarding greeting cards. Alot of my art is ready, and I wondered if you'd had any experience in the production and legal aspects of going into this business. Might we be able to meet if you have any info for me, I would really appreciate it.

Hey Hippie Lou! I don't think I ever saw this!? (Thank you!) Anyway, I wanted to say thank you for referring me to your friend. I did work with her (am working with her) and had a very positive experience piloting my new biz model. She's great. I haven't been in the city much for a while. In VT now and think I'll be really moving out somewhere green very shortly. Hope you are feeling some good summer vibes my friend;) Hugs

I also considered it an extremely interesting synchronicity that we share a hero in Pippi Longstocking.
I also considered it an extremely interesting synchronicity that we share a hero in Pippi Longstocking. I mean, what could be better than to live without parents, have a monkey a horse, a big house that you can decorate in any wild way you want, dress eccentrically, go on extraordinary and spontaneous adventures and have secret super powers to repel arbitrary authority? I've never met another adult who openly expressed a similar admiration for the scrappy and wonderful character (I secretly fantasized that I was her when I was a child.) So, a big yes to you for that!

she was a hippie in the best sense of the word.
jethro sending love love love...your mom was the first real connection i made in the e. village, she invited me in and made me part of the "evening of expression" family. i came to the e. village because i believed people like your mom might be here. people who would not judge me and invite a stranger into their magical world of love and creativity and free spiritedness. she was a hippie in the best sense of the word, and she holds a special place in my heart. kudos to you for standing by her and loving her right. xo

but still with the urge toward the reader to go look into it.
Have you read 'Watchmen'? Your pamphlet idea reminds me of Rorschach. He's the vigilante justice freak who hides his identity as Rorschach. Maybe what you need, and the happy medium between free information and maintaining a degree of structure is a persona that can act like a container for that activity. In my head I can hear a container voice with some spin citing reference, adding a degree of synthesis, but still with the urge toward the reader to go look into it. Indeed, that's the kind of news I yearn for, something looking for trends with commentary and a view onto the original work, going as if along an exhibition back into time, exhibition blended with the archaeological site, etc. Zoom. I'm obsessed with zooming, rotation, the refractions and reflections that collect about a ridge on a transparent/translucent surface.

You were and are BIG in my life.
Dave,
It was great seeing you, and catching up. The story of your last 5 years is the most astounding and surprising one I've heard in a long, long time. Stirs up a lot of feelings and is seared into my soul at some level.
You and your advice and support have made a huge difference to me. You were there for me at so many of the crossroads of my life and your advice and action made the difference between success and disaster at least four times for me. And that's just what I can remember this minute. And I'm not counting all the times when I'd applied what you'd taught me later on--there have been many. You were and are BIG in my life. I never had another mentor like you.
I wish I had known when you were sick. I am so sorry I didn't stay in touch. (I am terrible at keeping in touch.) You were there for me so many times . . . I wish I had been there for you, maybe I could have done something to help.
Those stories were great . . . thank you so much for sharing them. The W-LAND story was completely new to me, and I only knew pieces of the other two.

The plain fact is that the planet does not need more 'successful' people.
The plain fact is that the planet does not need more 'successful' people. But it does desperately need more peacemakers, healers, restorers, storytellers, and lovers of every shape and form. It needs people who live well in their places. It needs people of moral courage willing to join the fight to make the world habitable and humane. And these needs have little to do with success as our culture has defined it.
Tks for being born, Lou
Very sweet running into you. I HAVE to lend you the Natalie Goldberg! I'll leave it at L Jk's for you tomorrow... but that one I've particularly got to have back because the Gwen Teekle she mentions was my high school great friend!
Here's the EW quote:
..."Furthermore, I thought David [Foster Wallace], at 46, was at a safe age, when things are most likely to be okay or okay enough: the mad search for sex and success that consumes one’s twenties, and then leaves a hangover into your thirties, is done with; the sense of failure, the feeling that it’s all been a waste, that hits after 50 hasn’t come yet. Middle age, which might be a crisis, can also be a calm." ..."So here is the miserable truth that those of us who are given to depression are forced to face when David Foster Wallace commits suicide: It didn’t and doesn’t turn out well. There is no happy ending to the story of sorrow if you are born with a predilection for despair. The world is, after all, a coarse and brutal and cruel place. It’s only a matter of how long you can live with it." Elizabeth Wurtzel 7/31/1967
BUT then and so
here's my latest Buddha quote mantra distillation:
"The smallest nutshell I can squeeze the entire teachings of Buddha into:
Pain is inevitable.
Suffering is optional."

AND Thich is coming !
Tks for being born, Lou,
(or whatever you're choosing to be called in the spectacular moment)
