Dave,
It was great seeing you, and catching up. The story of
your last 5 years is the most astounding and surprising one I've heard
in a long, long time. Stirs up a lot of feelings and is seared into my
soul at some level.
You and your advice and support have made a
huge difference to me. You were there for me at so many of the
crossroads of my life and your advice and action made the difference
between success and disaster at least four times for me. And that's
just what I can remember this minute. And I'm not counting all the
times when I'd applied what you'd taught me later on--there have been
many. You were and are BIG in my life. I never had another mentor like
you.
I wish I had known when you were sick. I am so sorry I
didn't stay in touch. (I am terrible at keeping in touch.) You were
there for me so many times . . . I wish I had been there for you, maybe I
could have done something to help.
Those stories were great . .
. thank you so much for sharing them. The W-LAND story was completely
new to me, and I only knew pieces of the other two.
